Carpet Cleaning Tips
Quite possibly the most common complaint regards carpet cleaning is to do with red wine and coffee spillages. However, by having a bottle of soda water on stand by, these could be removed within seconds. Simply pour a small amount over the stain, and watch in awe as the bubbles lift the stain; them simply apply pressure on a clean towel to remove it completely.
For when the kids have redecorated your walls with delightful mosaics, just reach for a tube of toothpaste. Apply liberally with an old toothbrush and watch it come away in moments. Those lovely abrasive chemicals that keep your pearly whites glistening will have similar effect on your walls.
Another protagonist of carpet staining; particularly in those areas with a lot of foot traffic is chewing gum. Do not try to remove this immediately instead apply an ice pack or a bag of ice cubes to the area until the gum becomes hard. From here, you should be able to simply scrape it away from the surface.
For stains such as tomato ketchup, mustard, chili sauce and barbecue sauce; reach for a can of shaving foam. Spray in moderation over the stained area, and then immediately wipe up with a damp cloth. Bam! No more seasoned shag pile!
Other household favorites to have on standby include lemon juice and salt; which work wonders with blood, grass and \"accidents\" your pets or smaller kids may leave you.
